Boasting a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, El Palmito offers an experience as delightful as its menu, making it a must-visit for taco enthusiasts and casual diners alike.
Specializing in a variety of tantalizing tacos, this food truck has earned rave reviews for its commitment to authentic flavors and quality ingredients. On weekends, indulge in their Sábados Y Domingos specials, featuring Pozole Verde and Menudo, each for just $20, or savor the rich flavors of Birria De Res for $22—a sumptuous dish that will transport you straight to Mexico with every bite. For those looking for a quick yet satisfying flavor fix, El Palmito offers an array of protein options, including Asada, Chorizo, and Lengua, all priced between $3.50 and $4.00. The dining experience at El Palmito is as engaging as the food. Customers like Marissa Gutierrez have raved about the “own tray of toppings plus red and green sauces,” adding to the joy of crafting your perfect taco. And if you’re a fan of quesadillas, don’t miss their Asada quesadilla—heavenly cheesy and topped with just the right amount of freshness that’ll leave you craving more.
Dine al fresco in a charming outdoor setting, where community and culinary delight converge. As Jayden Matlock aptly put it, this is perhaps “one of the best little roadside taco joints in the area.” With flavors that resonate with the soul of traditional Mexican fare, it's no surprise that food aficionados like Israel Monroy and Victor Games have found their culinary haven here; declaring it the best place in the Hardeeville area for quesabirria tacos.
In every bite at El Palmito Tacos, you'll find a commitment to quality and authenticity that reflects the passion of its owners, Maximiliano & Consuela. Authentic, delish, and good ingredients. I am a foodie and demand fresh and authentic. This is so good and the real deal. I cook better than most restaurants and this will blow you away with how authentic it is instead of making it polite for the tourist palette. This couple needs a restaurant or two or 5. I love when I get quality like this without any stomach issues for spicy and questionable ingredients. It says something when an Hispanic family of 8 drive to eat here and you hear moans.

This place is a banger 10 out of 10. Best quesabirria tacos I’ve had in all of Hardeeville, Bluffton, Beaufort, Hilton Head area. From the meat to the cheesy tortilla and the consumé(broth) to dip the tacos in were so flavorful. There’s plenty of taco trucks and restaurants that say they can make birria with a good consumé, but if the flavor in the consumé doesn’t complement the birria all you’re really eating is meat, cheese tortilla, and simple broth that’s tasteless and that’s no good in my opinion.

This is a great outdoor little eating area with a few other food trucks! We ordered from this one and the tacos come with a toppings tray and sauces which is awesome! The asada quesadilla was super cheesy and delicious and the cucumber limeade was amazingly refreshing! Cheaper and wayyy more delicious than Taco Bell for all the foods we got plus a drink! We will def be back when we drive through S.C. !

Probably one of the best little roadside taco joints in the area. The trailer is red now but it's the same business.

Maximiliano & Consuela, are amazing. I speak from the experience of taco trucks, carts, taquerias.. in Southern California we were spoiled. These are by far the best I have had in 7 years since leaving my home. Thank you both for my fondest flashbacks of baja Califa. As a chef it is hard to find good food let alone food that is more of an experience than a meal. Every chef wants to have the pow or wow ingredient. you my friends have it. you have it in spades. You go above and beyond to provide a genuine or dare I say authentic and truly SEMPATICO EXPERIENCE for everyone. Now for the food from asada to pastor and all in between it's amazing. If it's not right they fix it. So today was a test as well as yesterday. I sent my sister in law and brother to canitas michoican palmito tacos "they agree with my synopsis. My wife and daughter love it as well. As for this guy and his American/ Latino/ Hispanic clan we have our Toco spot.
